This washed, strictly high grown coffee comes from smallholder farmers in the Jinotega department of Nicaragua. Coffee cherries were hand-picked, wet milled and fermented by the individual producers. Afterwards the coffee was taken to a central location to be dry milled in order to guarantee uniformity of quality and flavor.
Jinotega is the largest coffee region in the Nicaragua. Altitudes in Jinotega range From 800 -1500 masl. The diverse micro-climates in the region present ideal growing conditions for varietals such as: Caturra, Red Catuai, Bourbon, Pacamara, Parainema and more.
